 PSALM 73

I. BEWARE OF WORLDY PERCEPTION [PSALM 73:1-16]

 

1. Worldly Perception Places us on a Slippery Slope [v. 1-3, James 3:14-16]

- But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

 

2. Worldly Perception Provides Them with a Semblance of  Security [v. 3-11]

 

3. Worldly Perception Provokes “Stupid Sickness” [v. 12-16]

 

II. BE AWARE OF SPIRITUAL PERCEPTION [PSALM 73:17-20]

 

1.  Spiritual Perception Comes From God [v. 17]

 

2. Judgment Comes From God [v. 18-19]

 

3.  Judgment Comes In God’s Timing [v. 20]

 

III. BE AWARE OF SELF PERCEPTION [PSALM 73:21-28]

 

1. My Foolishness Must Be Confessed [v. 21-22]

 

2. My Faith Must Be Continual [v. 23-27]

 

3. My Fellowship Must Be Cultivated [v. 28]
