DOUBLE TROUBLE

1 CHRONICLES 12:33

 Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.

I. DOUBLE HEARTED [1 CHRONICLES 12:33]

 

1. A Double-hearted Person is Untried [1 Chronicles 12:33]

 

2. A Double-hearted Person is Unfaithful [Ps. 44:18, 1 Cor. 4:2, Acts 2:46]

- Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;

- Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

- And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

 

3. A Double-hearted Person is Undisciplined [Ps. 78:9, 1 Corinthians 9:27]

- The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.

- But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

 

II. DOUBLE TONGUED [James 3]

1. A Double-minded Person is Unstable Because they are Worldly [4:1-4]

 

2. A Double-minded Person is Unstable Because they are Carnal [4:5-6]

 

3. A Double-minded Person is Unstable Because they are Devilish [4:7-10]
