A Call Back to Truth
While Martin Luther called the church back to the truth of Scripture and the simplicity of the gospel, modern movements like the Emerging Church uphold "mystery" and question the traditional understanding of the gospel. Recent invasions of massed jellyfish prompted new studies of these ocean terrors. Scientists were astonished by what they found. Fearful of being associated with worshipping the earth and depreciating the value of mankind, many Christians shy away from anything environmentally friendly. Mark your calendar for this year's Deaf Day at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum October 13–14, 2018. In addition to ASL interpreters and Deaf volunteers being available at the life-size Noah's ark on Saturday, Calvin Farley will present his "7 C's of History" talk on the second floor of Emzara's restaurant. Then head to the Creation Museum for a special Deaf-led worship service on Sunday morning in Legacy Hall. Guests will join hundreds of other Deaf people in a service organized by one of the Creation Museum's long-time Deaf volunteers with help from multiple organizations. Can You Help? Due to the huge growth of this event, we need more ASL and Deaf interpreters and/or Support Service Providers with tactile skills.
