I KNOW JUST THE MAN

1 Samuel 9:17 And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people.
Zechariah 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
John 19:5 Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!

I. IT IS GOOD TO KNOW SOMEONE WHO KNOWS THE MAN [John 1:29-37]

1. The Chief Butler Knew Joseph [Gn. 40:8, 41:1, 7-16]

2. The Israelite Maid Knew Elisha [2 Kings 5:1-19]

3. The Queen Mother of Babylon Knew Daniel [Daniel 5:9-28]

II. IT IS BETTER TO KNOW THE MAN CHRIST JESUS [1 Timothy 2:5] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1. The Man is Good for Your Brother [John 1:35-42]

2. The Man is Good for Your Friend [John 1:43-51]

3. The Man is Good for Everybody [John 4:24-42]

III. IT IS GOOD TO BE KNOWN AS THE GUY WHO KNOWS THE MAN CHRIST JESUS

1. Be Prepared [2 Chronicles 12:14] And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.
2 Chronicles 19:3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God.
2 Chronicles 20:33 Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.
2 Chronicles 27:6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.
2 Chronicles 30: 18-20 For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every one That prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary. And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

How do you prepare?
2 Chronicles 35:4 And prepare yourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.
Ezra 7:10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

2. Be Ready [1 Peter 3:15] But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Rm. 1:15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

3. Be Not Ashamed [Rm. 1:16-17] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
