HOW TO HAVE A GREAT FATHER’S DAY

Ephesians 1:1-14

I. HAVE A GREAT FATHER [Ephesians]

1. Great in His Grace [Eph. 1:2-3, 6-7; 2:5-9; 6:24]

2. Great in His Love [Eph. 1:4; 2:4; 3:19; 6:23]

3. Great in His Power [1:19, 6:10; John 10:29]

 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

4. Great in His Mercy [Eph. 2:4]

II. BE PART OF THE GREAT ESCAPE

1. All Saved Have Experienced a Great Salvation [Hebrews 2:3]

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

2. All Saved Before the Rapture Escape the Great Tribulation [Matthew 24:21, Revelation 6:17, 14:19]

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

3. All Saved Escape the Great White Throne Judgment [Revelation 20:5-6, 11-12]

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

III. HAVE A GREAT FUTURE

1. Some Saved Will Have Great Reward [Mt. 5:11-12]

2. All Saved Will Experience a Great Day [Acts 2:20] because we have been Delivered from a Great Death [2 Cor. 1:10]

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

3. All Saved Should Look Forward to the Blessed Hope [Titus 2:13]

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

1 John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
