A few years an anti-drug slogan was, "Just Say No!" J. Vernon McGee once preached a sermon entitled "The Power of Negative Thinking." The message this morning is in a similar vein- taking our title from our text, "BUT HE REFUSED." Have you refused the world, the flesh, and the Devil lately?


I. HE REFUSED TO BE IMMORAL [v. 8-13]


II. HE REFUSED TO GO AGAINST THE CLEAR LEADING OF GOD [48:13-20]


III. HE REFUSED TO MAR HIS INHERITANCE [1 KINGS 21:1-5, 15]


IV. HE REFUSED  TO CONFUSE A NEW CONVERT FOR MATERIAL GAIN [2 KINGS 5:14-19, 1 COR. 8]


V. HE REFUSED TO BE COMPROMISE HIS FAITH [HEB. 11:24-27]
