I. THE MESSAGE OF REDEMPTION [v. 1-4]

2. The Message is Understandable [v. 3]

 

3. The Message is Unspeakably Good or Bad [v. 4, 2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. ]

1 Peter 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

 

II. THE MAJESTY OF REDEMPTION [v. 5-9]

 

1.  As Revealed by the Powerlessness of Riches [v. 6-7]

 

2. As Revealed by the Preciousness of Redemption [v. 8, 1 Peter 1:18-19, 2:3-8, 2 Peter 1:1, 4]

 

3. As Revealed by the Permanence of Redemption [v. 9]

 

III. THE MANNER OF REDEMPTION [v. 10-20]

 

1. There is the Folly of Wishful Thinking [v. 10-13, Proverbs 16:25]

There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
