TITUS 2:11-15
Pastor Rick
Jackson
I. GRACE’S
OUTREACH [v. 11]
1. It is a
Heavenly Outreach [v. 11, Acts 20:32, Rm. 5:15]
-And now,
brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to
build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are
sanctified.
- For if
through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the
gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
2. It is a
Redemptive Outreach [v. 11, 14]
3. It is a
Universal Outreach [v. 11, Heb. 2:9]
But we see
Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death,
crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death
for every man.
II. GRACE’S OUTCOME [v. 12, 1-10]
1. Teaches
the Redeemed [v. 12]
2. Reaches
the Masses [v. 1-9]
3. Preaches
the Saviour [v. 10]
III. GRACE’S
OUTLOOK [v. 13-15]
1. Looks for
Him [v. 13]
2. Looks to
Please Him [v. 14, 2 Tm. 2:4, Gal. 1:10, 1 Th. 4:1]
- No man
that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may
please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
- For do I
now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men,
I should not be the servant of Christ.
- Furthermore
then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye
have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound
more and more.
3. Looks to
Pattern Our Lives from His Word [v. 15]
