I. SIN WILL HURT YOU
1. It Will Hurt You Physically [Romans 7:23] it will enslave
you
John 8:34 Jesus
answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the
servant of sin.
1 Corinthians 6:18
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that
committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
2. It Will Hurt You Mentally [Romans 6:16, 20]
Genesis 6:5 And God
saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every
imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
1 Corinthians 8:12 But
when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin
against Christ.

have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as
transgressors.
3. It Will Hurt You Spiritually [Romans 5:12]

lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished,
bringeth forth death.
1 John 1:6 If we say
that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the
truth:
II. SIN WILL HINDER
YOU
1. From Receiving Christ [John 3:19]
And this is the
condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather
than light, because their deeds were evil.
2 Cor. 4:3-4 But if
our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this
world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the
glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2. From Growing in Christ [1 Peter 5:5 God resisteth the
proud, and giveth grace to the humble.]
2 Peter 3:18 But grow
in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be
glory both now and for ever. Amen.
3. From Serving Christ [Rm. 6:11-20]
II. SIN WILL HAUNT
YOU
1. In the Daytime [Is. 57: 20-21]
But the wicked are
like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
2. At Nighttime [Dt. 28: 58, 66-67] If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written
in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD
THY GOD;… And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day
and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: In the morning thou shalt
say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were
morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the
sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
3. Until Death [Rm. 7:14-25]
