"I would like to but I am going to have to be a preacher."
"Well," this friend said, "why do you have to be a preacher?"
Pete answered, "Because of these people going to Hell."
That ought to be a good reason to preach! - John R. Rice
Will you set out to get somebody saved today? Listen! You are going to answer to God for what you do about this. You say, "I am afraid I will fail." You have already failed if you haven't tried. Everybody fails every time somebody goes to Hell lost and unwarned. - John R. Rice
God has promised that He will bless those that bless the Jews and curse them that curse the Jews! And remember that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance and God has not cast away His people which He foreknew. Hitler, Mussolini and other dictators on until that giant despot, the Man of Sin, shall bare his ugly head as foretold in the Bible, will damn their empires and wreck their hopes because of the curse of God on Jew-haters! - John R. Rice [Jewish Persecution and Bible Prophecies, pg. 11, copyrighted in 1941]
Once in the wilderness by the Jordan River, the Son of God, the Son of man, born to be King of the Jews, fasted forty days and was driven by the Spirit to meet Satan. He refused to make bread out of stones. He refused to gain the applause of men by casting Himself down from the temple. Then Satan brought out into the open the one great object of his fight against Christ. Satan wants to rule over men, wants to rule on this earth. Do not think of Satan as being in Hell for he is not. Rather, he is now "the god of this world" (II Cor. 4:4). So Satan tried to bribe Jesus and make Him simply an Antichrist, ruling in the power of Satan over this world instead of coming back to reign as God's appointed, righteous ruler. - John R. Rice [Jewish Persecution and Bible Prophecies, pg. 17-18]
THE COMING ANTICHRIST. He is clearly pictured in Daniel 9:26, 27. A prince is to arise from the people that destroyed Jerusalem in A.D. 70, that is, from Rome. In Daniel 7:8 this ruler is pictured by a little horn coming up in the midst of ten other horns on a beast. In the inspired explanation (Dan. 7:16-27), we are told that the beast pictures the fourth great world empire, Rome. The ten horns picture the ten nations or kingdoms which followed this empire. The little horn then is a dictator or ruler who will arise among the nations that once formed the Roman Empire. This dictator is a Roman, he will seize other nations and finally restore the Roman Empire to a world-wide power, will "speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out saint of the Most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given unto his hand, until a time and times and the dividing of time," that is, for three and one-half years. (Dan. 7:25) This world dictator will be overthrown, (Dan. 7:27). - John R. Rice [Jewish Persecution and Bible Prophecies, pg. 25-26, copyrighted in 1941]
