Quotes of the Week

Being a male is a matter of birth. Being a man is a matter of age. Being a gentleman is a matter of choice. - Dr. John E. Waters

When you're a married man, you'll understand a good many things as you don't understand now; but whether it's worth while, going through so much, to learn so little, as the charity-boy said when he got to the end of the alphabet, is a matter o taste. - Charles Dickens

Since I am not presently an 'official' pastor and without a "dog in the fight" per se (actually I do have one), let me say this: if you have entered into a covenant fellowship with a particular church family, don't just leave quietly when you become disenchanted or disturbed. Go to your pastor. If you cannot look your leader in the eye and say, "God has shown us it is time to leave...God is leading us..." then you are in disobedience and exposed to the enemy, and you will carry your angst to another fellowship and pollute them. It hurts the body. It sickens it. His Church is greater than you. Or your issues. - Rev. Scott Mitchell

If you work God's plan- you'll get God's benefits. - Evangelist Tim Thompson

God doesn't supply our need according to our need but according to His riches. - Evangelist Bill Rice III

Don't misplace your trust. Some trust in men, some in their talents instead of God who gave us the talent. - Evangelist Matt Downs

Those who murder babies have no qualms about using strong arm mafia type methods to force others. "Give me money or I will destroy you!" - Richard Sumner
