I. IT’S ALL ABOUT YOUR ATTITUDE [v. 17-26]

1. The Attitude of Christ [v. 17-19, Mark 10:45]

For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

2. The Attitude that Wins [v. 20-23, Luke 9:24]

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

3. The Attitude that Loses [v. 24-26, Luke 17:33]

Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

II. YOUR ATTITUDE DETERMINES YOUR ALTITUDE [v. 27-36]

How high you go is determined how low you are willing to bend to the will of God.

1. Love the Unlovable [v. 27-28]

2. Rise above the Norm [v. 29-34]

3. Follow the Example of the Father [v. 35-36]

III. YOUR ATTITUDE & ALTITUDE DETERMINES YOUR APTITUDE [v. 37-49]

Aptitude refers to capability or ability; either innate or acquired capacity for something; a readiness or quickness in learning

1. An Aptitude for being Generous [v. 37-38]

2. An Aptitude for being Sincere [v. 39-45]

3. An Aptitude for being Obedient [v. 46-49]
