HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS‏

Pastor Rick Jackson

Zechariah 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
Acts 26:22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Have you ever considered how the Lord uses little things to bring big blessings? Like the little fish and the little bit of bread the Lord used to feed the multitudes. Then again, the Lord warns us how the wrong little things can cause big problems- the tongue is a small member but can cause great strife. Consider to today how to have a merry little Christmas.

I. LITTLE PLACES

1. The Little Country of Israel [Ps. 65:12-13]

2. The Little Town of Bethlehem [Micah 5:2]

3. The Little Manger [Luke 2:7]

II. LITTLE PEOPLE [Dt. 7:7-9]

1. The Shepherds- men of little reputation [Lk. 2:8-20]

2. Simeon- a man with little time [Lk. 2:25-35]

3. Anna- a woman with little of this world's goods [Luke 2:36-38]

III. LITTLE THINGS

1. Have a Little Faith [Mt. 17:20, Rm. 10:17]

2. Avoid Little Deviations [Gal. 5:7-13]

3. Realize Little Time is Available [Heb. 10:37, James 4:14]
