Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

II. GOD EXPECTS [15:8-16]

1. People to Hear His Word [v. 8a]

2. People to Heed His Word [v. 8b, Joshua 22:5]

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

3. People to Hold His Word [v. 9-16, Philippians 2:16]

III. GOD KNOWS [15:17-19, 16:1-14]

1. Our Hearts [15:17-19, Psalm 7:9]

Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
Proverbs 17:3 The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.
1 Thessalonians 2:4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
