"And I will purge from you the rebels and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the land where they sojourn, but they will not enter the land of Israel. Thus you will know that I am the LORD." Ez. 20:38.
A repeat performance
We saw in the lesson last time "All Israel will be saved" Rom. 11:26, that God is going to purge out the unbelieving children of Israel during the Great Tribulation, until only the believing remnant will be left and so all Israel that is left shall be saved.
He did it during the forty years Israel wandered in the wilderness "all the generation of the men of war perished from within the camp, as the LORD had sworn to them" Deut. 2:14. See Num. 14:29-38 for the prophecy concerning this. Then notice, "Your eyes have seen what the LORD has done in the case of Baal-peor, for all the men who followed Baal-peor, the LORD your God has destroyed them from among you. "But you who held fast to the LORD your God are alive today, every one of you" Deut 4:3-4. He destroyed ALL that followed Baal-peor and kept alive EVERYONE who did cleave unto the Lord. He will do it again and "all Israel, left alive, shall be saved" and will go into the Millennium. Make sense?
Israel, the key to prophecy
The "Great Tribulation," Matt. 24:21 "the time of Jacob's trouble" Jer. 30:7 all center on Israel. This is all included in the Judgment of Israel and ends with Matt: 24 & 25 and the ten virgins.
