JESUS CHRIST REVEALED!

People love to talk about Jesus and call Him a great teacher, or a great example. Some call Him a prophet, an angel, a brother to Satan or the man upstairs. Many talk of Him flippantly and say that Paul and the others misrepresented His teachings and made more claims than Jesus Himself did. My friends, hogwash, poppycock and fiddle-faddle!

The Bible is the Only completely reliable guide as to who the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us get a glimpse of Him tonight from just a few verses.

1. Jesus is The Faithful Martyr/Witness [v. 5]

2 Timothy 2:10-13 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

2. Jesus is the First Begotten of the Dead [v. 5] (the first One in a glorifed body)

Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

3. Jesus is the Ruler over all earthly rulers [v. 5]

1 Timothy 6:14-15 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

4. Jesus is the Lover of our souls [v. 5]

Psalm 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

5. Jesus is the Saviour of Sinners [v. 5]

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

6. Jesus is the Shedder of His Own Blood [v. 5]

Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

7. Jesus is the Maker of Kings and Priests [v. 6]

Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

8. Jesus is the holder of Glory & Dominion Forever [v. 6]

1 Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Jude 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for. ever. Amen.

9. Jesus is the Coming One! [v. 7]

Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

10. Jesus is as Much God as God the Father [v. 4-5]

Isaiah 41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.
Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
