QUESTION OF THE WEEK-what treasures are you laying up in heaven?

by Sumner Wemp [with the Lord]

George Barna, who studies churches and Christians has published a book which tells how many and who does what in churches so you can get a picture as to what is going on in our churches. The figure that really blows my mind is that only two out of a hundred Christians ever lead a lost person to Christ. No wonder Christians are voted down too often when it comes to moral and spiritual issues. The harvest is plenteous and facts tell the laborers are few. WE MUST CHANGE THAT.

It shows up in attendance. It shows up in offerings. It shows up in workers. It shows up in numbers not saved. The number that really counts is what will show up is at the judgment seat of Christ. I really believe God's people do not look at that time seriously enough. The results of that day will last forever and ever. Please digest that totally important fact. There will not be any joking around about it. It goes for me as well as you and for Billy Graham. The key is "Set your affection on things above" Col. 3:2

You must know, you are going to get awards or suffer loss of rewards. Tell me, what treasures are you laying up in heaven? You and I are going to give an account for every deed done in the body, whether good or bad. Choose YOU THIS DAY WHETHER GOOD OR BAD, BUT AS FOR ME, I am going to serve the Lord. AS FOR YOU?
