Quotes of the Week

Don't Quit. Don't Quit. Don't Quit doing right. Don't quit doing good. Don't quit anything that's of God. Don't quit your bus ministry.  Don't quit your Sunday School class. Don't quit your church services. Don't quit praying. Don't quit singing in the choir. If anything's good- don't quit anything! You start quitting little things here and there and the first thing you know you'll quit your home. You'll quit your wife. You'll quit your husband. You'll quit it all. You'll quit the Lord. You'll backslide. You'll be gone! Don't quit. Don't quit! - Dr. Tom Malone

This is the ultimate test of true repentance and the thing that differentiates it most of all from remorse – repentance gives us a hunger and thirst after righteousness. It makes us desire to be like Christ and more and more like Him, to be righteous and holy and clean. We do not simply feel sorrow because we have fallen again and because we are suffering afterwards and have let ourselves down – not at all. Remorse is negative – repentance is positive. - D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

For godly  sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. - 2 Corinthians 7:10

. . . the age of the earth issue is not a side issue, but one that really is an authority issue about the Bible—a battle between the authority of the Word of God and the beliefs of fallible, sinful humans.  - Ken Ham

Sometimes things we have heard and put in our "things to remember" bank can really be a stumbling block. If you can't act without your man-made conscience condemning you, then be sure what you believe is SCRIPTURAL (test it) and not someone else's rule, advice, tradition, or motto of life. It can lead to bondage if it isn't based on God's truth. ALL TRUTH SETS US FREE. If it brings you under anyone's control it is not of God.  - Pastor Butch Callahan
