I. WHAT
WAS THE WORD ON THE STREETS?
1. Jesus
said He is “The Lord” [21:3]
2. The Spirit
said He is “Thy King” [21:4-5, Zech. 9:9]
Rejoice
greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King
cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an
ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
3. Some of the
Multitudes said He is “The Son of David,” i.e., Christ the Messiah [21:9,
22:41-43]
4. Some of
the Multitudes said He is “Jesus the prophet of Nazareth [21:11, 2:23]
And he came
and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was
spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
II. WHAT
WAS THE WORD IN THE TEMPLE?
1. The
Spirit’s Word and Jesus’s Affirmation is that He is God [21:12-13]
2. The Blind
& the Lame recognized Him as an approachable Healer [21:14]
3. The
Children said He is “The Son of David,” i.e., Christ the Messiah [21:15-16]
III. WHAT
IS THE WORD IN YOUR HEART AND MOUTH?
1. Jesus
asked, Who Do Men Say That I am?
[Mt.
8:13-14]
2. Jesus
asked, Who Do You Say That I am?
[Mt. 8:15-16]
3. The
Spirit says Your Answer Determines Your Destiny [Rm. 10:9-13]
